On Tuesday afternoon, Mme Chantal’s class put their engineer hats on and they used various blocks to build rockets and other space-related items. They also used marshmallows and toothpicks to build constellations. Way to go little engineers! STEAM in action.
ASTER brought their giant inflatable planetarium to Westpark on Monday. Kindergarten students learned so much with a super cool activity. Great in-school field trip for STEAM and the space unit!
Mme Deppy’s class prepared their very own skip counting kits that includes a number path, bundles of 2 and tokens. The class was also rewarded with an extra cooperative game with Mme Deppy this afternoon for the good choices made this week outside during recess, lunch and cooperative game time.
Some grade three students went to K to share their Olympic stories. What a great morning!
Our K students are working hard on their Olympic unit.
Today our K students celebrated the 100th day of school!
Last week Ms. Niunka’s class came to read the books they wrote to some very lucky K students. What an amazing afternoon!
